Finally had time to work on mine and test it a little. I had to pull the intake and port it for the idle holes because they are outside the main blade of the carb and its a 4150 intake to start with. So I notched it in four places to give the idle air hole full clearance. That was my main issue.
So I put it all back togather and fired it up, and I have a good idle, good idle in gear, and ok part throttle. up to about 1/4 throttle right now. So tonight I pull the #5 restrictor out and give it another try. I need to put anAFR logger in this car if I keep chaging carbs so often..It seems smooth, but after 1/4 throttle I still have a restriction.
Anyone here run with locked timing on a street car? I might also try this with this carb.
