The heads are Indy 600-13X We bought another set this spring and will be doing some flow comparing this week between the 2 sets.

I ran this motor some last year. It was in Jeff Hurst and Chuck Andersons dragster's and ran 6.80-7.20's depending weather they ran motor or sprayed. I had some issues with the Pro Systems carbs and we pulled it out after the Norwalk race. We are putting new rods, pistons, lifters, valves and valve springs in. I also bought a Neal Chance convertor to try and see how it preforms against my ATI and Coan. The block is a 4.84 bore spacing. I should have it running next month.

I'm very interested in what these heads are capable of. Was the Hurst engine 655?

Jack
What oils the distributor oil pump drive on these blocks? It is closed off from the liftergaley, so no splash oiling for it.
Thanks jerry

Was those the single blade carbs?

Here are some answers to some of the questions asked earlier.

1 The block is a 4.84 bore spacing
2 The Hurst engine was a 655ci
3 The oil pump drive shaft gets oil thrown on it from the cam and crankshaft
4 The carbs are Pro-System Nitrous Pro-IV(not single blade)
5 The tailgate is the best table I have Lol

The block was honed at Wasserbeck Speed Shop on a Sunnen SV-10 Diamond hone. Here is a photo of the machine setup with RPM, Speed and X-hatch angle. I will post hone finish surface specs tomorrow.

im hoping to see these number with my daytona and my 655 with dual sv1s...made 1 pass last weekend and went 5.35@131 with some more tuning and possibly a convetor adjustment. .4.80s should be in reach....

Made some progress tonight after work. Got the rods and pistons in. I put the cam in and hope to get it degreed in tomorrow night. It is a Cam Motion 55mm with 4/7 swap. The specs with 1.8 rockers are .900/.850 lift and 283/303 duration R117.
