the Passon shifts great in mine and BTW its a fairly thin oil, my guess is about a 5w/30 in viscosity. maybe Passon or Brewers can chime in but i remember one of them saying no to atf for a street driven car.

Initial fill should be ATF.
Drive it.
Check for leaks.
Drain, refill with heavier lube of choice.
