They aren't going to real Prison, nonviolent federal crime. I knew a guy that went to Federal Prison for interstate transportation of a stolen vehicle. He got his ground school done for his pilot licence done while he was there and took some computer classes. There were conjugal visits with his wife. Where he was there wasn't even any fences, you sign a contract when you got there stating you would not leave the boundaries of the prison. I know it would be hard to be away from your family but in my opinion the boys in the armed services have it a lot harder than these folks. They will probably have it better than a good portion of the people reading this.

Didn't know about the Country Club prisons...Thought they would be going to to the big lockup and be someones date...

The Frito says, "Raines will be the quickest of the bunch"

I wish there would be 40 of them there. For me, it's worth the $60 ripoff to get in the gate just to see these cars.

My prediction however.....they'll all be gone by third round. They need to put DRIVERS in those cars. Somebody needs to build and AH ride for Lamb, Fletcher, Langdon, Bertozzi, Biondo, or MEEEEE!!!!!

None of those guys care whether they're "drivers" a la Bertozzi, Biondo, and Fletcher.

Ask them what makes their weekend and the answer is a quicker ET than the other Hemi cars. The HP and TQ those cars have doesn't exactly make them conducive to bracket racing.

And on the driver note, while not everyone is equally skilled, I'd say Jenkins, Teuton, Hess, and Westcott are pretty good!

Well said!!!! There is a reason the "drivers" don't pick Hemi HP & TQ cars. AH is a special class for special people.

My money is on Rains to be the fastest qualifier of the bunch but Jerry Jenkins to go the deepest in eliminations.

I think Houser is a pretty good driver He`s been racing for years and not just Hemi cars, the other two drivers on his team are certainly no slouchs. I agree Rains # 1 with CW power.

My list of "good" drivers wasn't meant to be exhaustive. Those were just the first ones that came to mind. Rick is a great driver as well. I've seen him save that car a couple of times now.

Pancake's not afraid of getting out of shape either. I'll never forget Indy '05 when he raced Charlie in the semis of the Hemi Challenge. That car was all over the track and he managed to get it through to the other end without lifting. Almost beat CW! Though CW had issues that run as well.

A lot of these guys are better drivers than they get credit for. What people forget a lot of the time is that most of the AH cars don't use the transbrake to leave the starting line. That little device makes drivers out of some guys that might not be otherwise.

Just for fun, set the roll-out on your practice trees to .20 and see how easy it is to hit that spot consistently.

rank them all, and pick a total spread on the times, and whoever is closest I will recieve the T-shirt of their choice from my website.
example

driver a) #1
through driver d) #4

difference between driver (a) and (d) will be (fill in the blank)

Jenkins isn't going so take him off all your lists.

1. Rains
2. Vieira
3. Mazzolini
4. Raybourn
5. Houser
6. Faherty

Spread: .16

And I think the spread between #'s 2-5 is going to be REALLY tight.

Jared,
Hope you're well. What's up with the West Coast Hemi group?
