CW already has the record at a 38, BTW you can`t set records in testing, only at Opens, Points meets and Nat. events. 20s this year CW ?

I guess that just proves that when you buy an engine from Wescott, that you are getting the best that money can buy... Every customer gets an up to date state of the art Super Stock engine with all the best technology.... How many builders will do that? Charlie has all his customers at the top of their game, but few have ever been able to beat him.....And it is not because he has a better engine....Remember back this past summer when he put Raines motor in his car and tested it on the track to work out some issues?... That is customer service beyond the call of duty, but it is that kind of dedication that shows why Charlie is the man to beat in the Class... He out works everyone.... No one else wants to work that hard it seems to me....

 Not only does he have the motor... but he knows exactly whay set up to run on the track based on weather... He has put lots of time into that, and that is just amazing to me. The guy knows what he is doin no doubt  Casey

I`m looking forward to seeing how Baughman does with Westcott power, he`s always had a good car just not quite there in the HP department, that shouldn`t be a problem now!

if larry did that,, great,, nice guy,, though i dont think he could run that with his motor he had, i know he was talking about getting a new motor, then some kind of lease program charlie was considering,, but car was for sale so i dont think he would have sprung for a new motor.
if he ran that fast,, he must have fixed his problem,, what ultimately was wrong?

Speaking of the 09 season, the Vegas Shootout is the same weekend as Cajun Sportsnationals in Belle Rose La. Vegas has a Shootout posted but no purse size. I heard from Mr. Tueton there was a shootout but I can not find official info. Anyone in the know?

Vegas has yet to post the purse for Hemi Shoot-out, but Nitro Joe, Phil Painter and his staff sure do a bang-up job with the entire week-end with the way they run the show and treat the Super Stock Hemi Shoot-out guys.
I hear that Chrysler is only going to sponsor the shoot-out at Indy... and no other shoot-outs... Not even sure if that is true, and who knows where they (Chrysler) will be come Labor Day week-end?.....
I have been in lenthy conversations with Charlie Blankenship @ CC Events and he will also hold a Hemi-Shoot-out at Norwalk as he has for the past 2 seasons.. He has an interest in hosting the SuperStock /AH/AA guys at all his events if sponsorship can be found to pay a decent purse.
The event dates are as follows:
May 15-17 Columbus Ohio, National Trails
June 19-21 Pittsburgh Raceway Park (Alexadria PA.)
July 18-19 Martin MI. US 131
Sept. 11-13 Norwalk Ohio
A few things to consider: Are any of these dates in conflict with NHRA points events for SS/AA ? and are there any guys here on this post that have any ideas for a sponsorship for such a series.
Any suggestions or ideas are welcomed and you can PM me with info if you want.
We had talked about a gambler type race format with the SS/AA guys paying an entry that went directly to the purse., but have since, reconsidered and felt we need to explore some other options for sponsorship.
I like to think that we could help promote the Class and give it "Headline status" at CC Events, improving upon the fan base and creating more exposure and fan interest.... The real issue comes down to finding the bucks to able and put it on...While I beleive that SS/AA may bring in spectators, it would take time to build a following that would help pay the purse, just the way the economy is right now...I am sure every one has some ideas on this... lets hear them.......

My car is finally done and ready to race in Div. 1. 4 speed car, because real race cars have three pedals. Let me know what you think.
