Well lately, I have been busting my tail trying to get some work done on the old Road Runner. The car was hit on the drivers side at one time, and bent the frame rail, so out it came. A HUGE Thank You to HEMI Joel for getting me the parts I need to get the front end squared away.

I have been stock piling parts the last few months, but these showed up a few weeks ago, and are my favorite new pieces.

Very Cool Jeff. Wheels look cool. I wish the new wheel choices were better. I struggle with the choices out there. The cool one are very spendy.

Those wheels are going to look great on your car!
No problemo on the parts, I'm glad to see the stuff go to good use.

If anyone wants the leaning tower of power, it's up for grabs too.

Well it took me a year to find this old thread. Since this was started, I was able to track down the original owner of my Road Runner. He met up with me, and let me copy all the old pictures he had of the car. I got to hear old stories about it's history, and we discussed the plans to the car. He was happy to hear I was going to paint the car just as he had it back in the day. He was more shocked to see the still existed.

Anyways, here are a couple old pics, and some more up to date progress pictures. Now that Drag Week is over, I can dedicate some time to it.

Nice job on the quarters... I hung a pair of quarters
on a buddies 70 Charger.. spent more time fixing the
junk quarters than what it took to hang them.. none of
the lines were nice(old worn out dies when they stamped
it).. but in the end it looked great

That's only because he has chosen not to put in a funny car cage. NOTHING certs faster than 8.50 now without a FC cage. Take a current pro stock, cut the FC cage out and it certs 8.50

Wow! Looks like a labor of love or insanity, take your pick. But it's going to be awesome.

My original plan was to not even have the cage certified, and run 10.00's with it. This car should be 300 lbs lighter then my GTX, and I really do not see any way it can be slowed down, without a major detune. So while at Drag Week, Joel and I stopped at Jegs, and I was able to pick out a new 3 layer jacket, and pants. I see no problem with the cage being able to cert to 8.50. Now my goal is to make the car leave as hard as it possibly can, and the only ET goal I have now is a sub 1.25 60' time. Everything after that, is what it is.
