Hi, I need to pick an alternator for my 31 Plymouth coupe Drag Week project. It needs to be extra - reliable Easy to find a bolt in replacement on the road trip As light as possible Enuff amps to run an MSD6 AL, electric fuel pump, all the lights in the car, and charge the little lightweight battery up fast if it gets run down Any suggestions? Thanks Joel

I'm running a Denso 85A and it runs the Rampage fine with some to spare... its your everyday production alt found on many Chrysler cars... that way if you dump one for any reason you can get one easy... mine has been on the race car for 14 years now and I have the same one on the Rampage... I had to change pulleies since it comes with a multy cog belt... I use a V belt... also I run more electrial stuff than you

The Mancini Denso ones run a little hot, but they pump up the voltage real nice, and I never had an issue with mine in the +3000 miles I put on my Hot rod with 4.56 gears! Nice, small, light, and +14vdc... By the way, if its the car in your sig, that's got 4 headlights and draws 20 amps right there...

I use a GM CS130/140 amp alternator. Best thing is if my spare has problems any auto parts store will have one.

I've ran one of Andy's kits with the 60 amp Denso on the Valiant. Completed two drag weeks with it, no problems, 4 electric fans, electric fuel pump, MSD ignition.
