Does anybody know how to reset a Hyperpac touch screen reprogramming unit ?? These are dedicated to the vin number of the vehicle it's installed on, and will not work on any other unless it's reset, so they say... I have one for a 2004 Ram 2500 Hemi, that I an going to use on another 2004 Ram 2500 Hemi, but don't want to take a chance on it ruining my computer, etc. The trucks are Identical, except for the vin....Any ideas/info would be appreciated. Hypertech will replace the unit if I send it back, with a few hundred bucks, but if theirs a way around this, I'm all ears.
Thanks, Mike

I don't think there is any way of reVining it other then sending it back to Hypertech.

supposedly, you can use the hyperpac on the old vehicle, and restore all settings to factory. this "unlocks" the hyperpac, and allows you to use it on another ride. the vin is locked into the hyperpac, when you program a ride with it, and the only way to go back to the beginning, is to restore your first ride, to a factory setup.

Yes, this.

I am pretty sure that is the way it was on my 98 GMC, one use at a time only. unload it from the one to re use on another.

As said its married to the VIN of one truck. You need that truck to restore to stock and then its unmarried from that VIN.

Too late, the truck is long gone. However, Hypertech will replace this unit with a brand new one for $200. plus the old unit. Not bad considering it's $700.00 for a new one....

Thanks to all who replied, Mike
