I already have a 40,000 gvw trans cooler w/ a 10 inch fan blowin over it and it still runs around 190 "if" i drive like a sane man but thats a big if. but the motor stays below what it did when it had a clutch fan on it plus it seems to rev a bit quicker. and still no truck smiley

I put an electric fan on a 91 dakota I had. The truck was a 318 4x4 and the fan cooled it ok. The only problems I had was if we were 4 wheeling on hot summer days a low speeds it would run a little hot. But i noticed a difference in power and fuel econemy when I installed it.

Mine got about 1 mpg better than it had, in a wind at that....like 20 plus side-to head wind...I just did a 850 mile round trip this past weekend...1mpg better was the average, and as ya know a slant six needs all the help it can get power wise! (one half the trip was really windy)
And Still no TRUCK smiley.....

I make the trip about every 2 to 3 weeks...won't be long till I get these remodels done, thank goodness!!!
and yep, the ol' slant just keeps on tickin...gonna build a new engine before too long. steel crank 225 w/198 rods and turbo 2.2 pistons...or mebbe a magnum headed 360. More than likely a six tho. I have kinda grown fond of em, good mileage and darn near indestructable...mine has been overheated badly twice now, and it didn't kill it!!!

and still no truck smiley

Guys, I had a REAL scarey thing happen this mornin....I left the house, and went to stop at a fairly busy two lane and NO BRAKES!!!!!...rolled right into the street thru the stop sign...was really lucky no cars were coming. There are 2 schools nearby and morning traffic is largely kids gettin taken to school. Diagnosis was bad master cyl on rear circuit, and a blown front hose.
I am in the middle of replacin all the rubber hoses, and the master cyl.
I might not have made it till Thurs, the 19th....my B-day....yep I am almost an "Older Goat", hahaha!
I am tellin folks I will be 62, but look really young for my age!!!hahahaha!!! (I will be 46)oh well checkthose hoses guys!, I don't want the same thing happenin to you!!!!

And still no truck smiley.....

Happy Belated B-Day! Glad you're all fixed up. NO brakes when you least expect it is scary!

Nothing to see here. Carry on.
