I hope things are ok there too, There were a few south of Amarillo last night too, but not near as big as the ones south of here. The fire near Cross Plains destroyed a relative's brand new house, well only 3 months since completed....
I still don't see a truck smiley.......

A few were about 10 miles south of here....yep we get grass fires almost every year here in the panhandle of Tejas....but they usually get em under control here quickly...key word usually..as dry as it is and there being a lot of tall grass on the plains, add constant wind, and ya get big fires quick!!! The major ones in Texas were at least 100 miles away tho...glad ya got no reason to call me "Fire Ant", haha

There was this older lady that caught the woods on fire every other year it seemed growing up.
Fires would burn all the way up to the fences.
Today you can still find the fire brakes the fire dept cut in with dozers.
