Websites with AAR info;

www.aarta.com

www.transamcuda.com

www.aarcuda.com

www.hamtramck-historical.com

When you can, please check inside both of the front seat backs for broadcast sheets? If you find any that do not match your car I would love to know.

The 1970 Hamtramck Registry has 1,540 AARs recorded so far.

The next AAR & T/A Reunion is set for the Chryslers at Carlisle show in 2015 also.

If the car was not optioned with a radio, then it would not have an antenna at all & no hole stamped in the rear quarter.

Is there an easy quick way to tell if the correct larger fenders are installed on an AAR cuda. What is the real difference.

Larger fenders on AARs & T/As is a myth, so no need to check.

In the pre-production stages, fender modifications were suggested, but then they discovered that by using smaller tires up front no body modifications were needed.

I have one more newbie question on AAR/TA cars. Is it just me not being familar with the sound of these cars . I was wondering why it sounds like a pair of old glass packs. Is it the mufflers they appear to look stock but im not sure what brand. Im not a fan of that sound just wondering.

OEM equipment sound a little raspy for sure!

Yes I checked some sound bytes and they do sound the same. To me they sound like a glass pack.

Look inside the exhaust tips, does it look like the exhaust pipe is pinched closed half way? or is the pipe fully open?

Okay this will sound dumb I'm sure, and I should know the answer.

Barry, do T/A's and AAR's get a special leaf spring to raise the rear body?

It would seem that on Cudas the low riding exhaust would be a flattened casualty in a pair of seconds.

Most likely a stupid question, but what's new?

They have leaf springs unique to these two models with an increased arch for more exhaust clearance.
