The drag park suspension utilizes a coil spring and separate shock. No leaf spring. 1.18 is still stout no matter what suspension! Those guys have that car flying!

Looks like the Mustangs are 2013 and 2014 that would make them the supercharged 5.0 coyote I believe.

I know it's just a class title but how the hell do they come up with "Factory stock" for these cars- what's stock about them?
regardless, Barton's got that thing rocking'

I am guessing the class is for the package cars built by the big three. I thought it was interesting that the qualifying fords were all the 5.0 cars rather than the 5.4 cars. The hemi challenger would be the only normally aspired vehicle in the group. I was thinking there was a fast viper powered challenger out of Louisiana. For a relitivitly new class the cars are really hauling the mail.

I'm sure the weather and track altitude is a big part of the picture but does anyone know the weight and cubic inch of these engines? They are laying down some numbers.

David Barton’s 426 cubic-inch Hemi Challenger posted a pass of 8.760 seconds. The run was 1.640 seconds under the FS/B class and good enough to make him number one qualifier. On 9 x 30 slicks too..

I think these cars are awesome. I hope in the near future chrysler will add a supercharged engine to the line up. I find it interesting that the Ford 5.0 coyote seems to be faster than the 5.4 in the 2011-12 cars. I want to go see some of these run at the track. Be nice to see some late model side by side racing.

1.18 on an unequal length 4 link,9" tires, 3350 lbs, Aproximately 890hp according to my calculations. +.070 426, 14.1, 4 2" throttle blades, Ti valves, .650" lift.
I believe these specs to be pretty close.
