My future wife is wanting my big block truck, with a 318 or 360, she says it has too much power, and uses too much gas.....guess the slant six truck is fixin ta get a big block....and back halved, and and I need a driver!..guess it is time to finish the vw bus suspension rebuild (already has a 2.3 ford conversion) at least it will pull itself...

I have owned the 64 for 15 years, refuse to give it up, the 73 bus screams, has a turbo coupe efi/turbo motor/freeway flyer transaxle, not to mention REAL heat!!!..yep, they sure have their quirks!!!
Oh I got one 440 emblem, the others were broken, hadnt looked at em close till today...the 440 sounded great!..has a pretty lumpy idle...will find out what's inside later, movin it to Okiehoma next week....

Well Webster, it is 412 miles by my odometer, gas was about 1.95 a gallon average...was a really long, very windy trip (with some rain and snow)back to Amarillo...the 'ol six had a hard time in a 40 plus mph headwind keepin up to even 60 mph....ran in 3rd gear a lot, glad it has an 833od!!!
