Very cool. Perhaps one day you can bring your Rampage to the MegaMopar weekend at Ennis. Would like to meet you one day

Thanks Mr.P Body. You may be right however the consistency of pump gas down here in Texas anyway is shaky at best. I can most definitely tell a difference with mixing the 110 and 93 in my 512 as it starts better and doesn't sometimes diesel when you shut it off and overall performance is night and day vs the pump 93.

Gas pump octane consistency is a problem everywhere, and can be very costly if you are on the edge to start with. Water / alcohol injection can be a safety margin that could pay for itself many times over if you get a "bad" load of fuel.

WRONG. I can go out on about any given Saturday and crank out 2 time trials usually within .01 and into evening only take the weather into account. 3 runs within .003 on one occasion this year. I read some articles from stock racers about BP93 blend consistencies being the best so that is what I stick with. Pump gas rules. I only reason I am making the switch on the new build is to see how fast this Edelbrock headed 408 will go.

1970 Duster
Edelbrock headed 408
5.984@112.52
422 Indy headed small block
5.982@112.56 mph
9.42@138.27

Livin and lovin life one day at a time

All the work I did on fuel I normally found that each
brand does tend to be the same within a small degree
of change... yeah you stick with BP so yes they work
well for you... if you bought from multiple different
companies you would be all over the place... I ALWAYS
buy my E-85 from Meijer and its always the same in
the summer months(less than 1% difference).. you need
to stick with one brand when you find a good one that
works for you.... for the longest time I found that
Shell was the best fuel... but they didnt sell E-85
