I wish I had a affordable dyno close by, I should be close to those numbers yours puts down my combo is almost the same

Just got home, pulled all the pistons and rods out for inspection. Number 5 piston was toast, ringlands broke, 2nd ring broke, skirts broke. Everything else looked great. Boost comes on about 3000rpm when the secondaries are open. Single turbo.Dave

quickd100 OP master Q Joined: Jan 2003 Posts: 6,392 nielsville, minn.	Mike the turbo specs are, A/R 1.05&77mm exhaust. Here's #5 piston ringlands broke, 2nd ring broke, skirt broke in 2 different places. Broke through the piston and drove it around enough so it started torching through..Dave

quickd100 OP master Q Joined: Jan 2003 Posts: 6,392 nielsville, minn.	There is plenty of ring gap. My pistons showed up and I found 2 more with very small cracks in the skirts. I replaced 3 pistons and will keep the rest for the next time I screw up. It should be up and running this weekend.Dave

Should be an eye opener at the lights. Larry the motor is already in the 'Creampuff'. I hurt the motor doing some 'testing' out on the highway . Exhaust pipe dropped off and it saw 20lbs of boost on 87 octane for a short time. Ebay came to the rescue, new set of pistons and rings for $147 to my door. Dave

My diesel buddy and I have good saying, if a bigger turbo can't fix it, it aint broken. Although we joke about "if it aint broke, fix it till it is".
