Anyone use one of these types sealing washers when plumbing their oil pick up lines to the pan?

Earl's makes them up to size -10 so I haven't found any for -12 yet but I'm sure someone makes one, I think the OD for a -12 is 1 1/16".

They are basically like a crush washer with a built in O-ring, I'm thinking this will work better than just and o-ring.

I also looked as using the teflon washers but if I can find one of these Stato-seals for -12 I think they will be the ultimate sealing solution.

Does anyone know where I can buy them on line for -12.

I used dowdy seals..make sure to silicone around the inner threads and seal. these seals are very similar to yours. you can get them at your local hydraulic supply.

I use the Earls Dowty Seals, 178117ERL, as well on my milodon dual line pan. Expensive but they work as no leaks ever. Just from the damn milodon spin on filter plate

I think everyone may be referring to the seals Michael Doty makes at Doty Manufacturing.

You can find them here. Michael is a great guy and a mopar guy to boot.

If you have the proper fittings, an o-ring is all you need and it shouldn't leak. True o-ring fitting have a place machined for the ring and the female fitting has a small chamfer that the o-ring seats into to seal. If you use that washer, the o-ring can't move into the area it is supposed to and seal properly.

Now, if the fitting just goes through the metal of the pan and threads into pickup, those fittings shown will work fine, but you might consider one on both sides of pan. I use those all the time to seal fuel cell outlets and they don't leak

That's what I used years ago, I only needed one and I gave the 2nd one away.

"Dowty Seals on mine earls 178117ERL"

I saw those on Jeg's but there isn't a much of an o-ring as on the stato-seals so I was hoping to find Stato-Seal but I may have to use those.

I also sent an email to Michael Doty at Doty Manufacturing so see what he has and if he is still selling his solution because the link on the website doesn't work.

I bought a few of the Doty seals from him several years ago. I figured with shipping I better get enough so I don't have to order again. They work very nice.

Just received the -12 bulk head seals from DMI.

Can someone tell me how these work, I assume I only use 2 of the o-rings with the washers outside the pan and the other 2 o-rings are spares? (or are they used on the inside of the pan? I'm assuming spares for next time but wanted to be sure.)

My Milodon 31161 pan has a strengthening rib close to the front hole so I'll have to flatten that out or cut part of the washer off before I can use these.
