if im not mistaking the carbs sit to high in the scoop to seal them
Using drop bases on the carbs will fix that. Seen it done many times. If it was worth any power on those cars, I'm sure they would be doing it.

If you`re talking about the Hemi guys, I read somewhere that they can`t use air pans.................
Sure they can, problem is they don't help. The scoop has to be kept within factory dimensions and as discussed in other threads is not high enough to do any good. Sealing the scoop would probably cost it air vs letting it get some underhood air unsealed.

Hi Monte in your opinion is there an advantage in the glasstek 5" six pack scoop over the glasstek 6" cowl hood thanks for any insight you may have

... they just arent tall enough to get up into the real air flow... they MAY be getting a good percentage of their air flow from inside the hood area.. I picked up ET and 3 MPH on my scoop when I sealed it

is my carb up in the scoop high enough to be any good?
I would venture a guess that this car will run the SAME, with or without a plug in the scoop
