Sounds like fun. I may have to go down a day early to watch that.

posting this for our N/ss director

After months of stories, rumors, half-truths, and misleading statements, here are the facts as I have them. First, I and others have made multiple attempts to reach Scott S. for comment to no avail. Last Thursday, Jeff Burk and I stopped by Gateway on our way to the Indy Swap Meet. Chris Blair [Head man at Gateway] graciously met with us for 30 minutes. Chris stated in no uncertain terms that there not only is no contract with Scott S., there is nothing in the works. He also said that Scott was made aware a long time ago that the Sept. weekend he has advertised was not available. He was given two other possible weekends, but never responded back. Since then, those dates are now under contract for other events. The track has had no direct talk with Scott for some time now. Chris has left messages for Scott with no response. At this point and time there is no Mopar Event scheduled for Gateway for 2014. It is highly unlikely that this will change. In December, Scott S. called me and said that the event was a done deal. I have known Scott for more than 25 years and saw no reason to doubt his word. Because of this, I posted the information he had given me on this web site and on Facebook. I made phone calls to many people to pass the word. Apparently I passed on wrong information and for this I am sorry. I can not speak for Scott or explain his reasons for what has happened. I believe Scott should be the one to do that. For more than 25 years he has been an important figure in the Mopar community. His Monster Mopar Event was a must attend on everyone's calendar. I always enjoyed this event and even had one of my greatest racing victories there. This was always one of my favorite weekends of the whole year. I feel it is a shame that it has come down to this. I am very impressed with the improvements that have been done to Gateway. I also believe that Chris Blair is doing a wonderful job of running the facility. His track record speaks for itself. I look forward to working with him and his staff at both of our Victory NSS Races this year. I hope and believe that in the future there will be a Mopar Event at Gateway in years to come. The Mid-west Mopar community deserves it and Gateway is the perfect facility to do it. The past is the past, but future will be the future! I hope this sheds some light on this topic. I will try to stay out of the rumor business in the future. The Victory NSS Schedule is a great one with two stops at Gateway. I can't wait, let's go racing!
Chris Schneider

Victory NSS Series Director

I prefer 1/8 mile racing after running it for a few years. I really don't like to go 130+MPH,,,105 in the 1/8 feels safer and more comfortable to me.

I like going 130+ in the 1/8th mile

As it stands , there is no scheduled MONSTER MOPAR RACE AT INDY OR NORWALK AT THIS TIME !
As for G M P the schedule is not out yet , However , l have heard all kinds of rumors , deals ,
l hope there is a MOPAR EVENT AT GMP, THIS YEAR AND I HOPE ALL THE CLOWNS WHO BOYCOTTED THE DEAL LAST YEAR FIND THE BRAIN THEY LOST AND DECIDE TO RACE IT , IF THEY HAVE ONE .
BUT SEEING SOME OF THESE COMMENTS ALL READY I CAN SEE STUPIDITY IS THE RULE

I see what you mean about clowns.
So Scott S told certain people to "spread the word" Now no words from Scott S. at all!
Oh well we will find places to race wether they are all mopar or one come all.
Don

It leaves a lot to be concerned about being we are getting ready for the 2014 season and race events are not being finalized and on a schudle. We can only hope that all the rumors and mis-information can be cleared up and we can plan on what events are available and if we can attend.
We understand the difficulty in putting on the events and locking in the tracks and sponsers.AJ did a great job planning the BGR events but understand he started before the end of last season and is still working hard and has a lot of work to do.It isn't something that just happens.
We hope all the other promoters can finalize their events and get the information to everyone. We also hope for a great season for events, racers and enthusiast.

Yea but you know BOB, even though A.J. started last year this is his 1st undertaking of promoting an event/events and he has done a tremendous job of setting them up, getting the word out, answering any questions the racers ask and updating any new information that has come along These other people/promotors who have done events before are not communicating at all nor do they have any events scheduled as they claim so as to get people to set up their weekends off from work. Hats off to A.J. and BGR and all who have stepped up for sponsorship to make these events happen, and I say keep up the good work!!

416 stroker from Nick at Compu-flow. 11.14 in full street trim. Seems like a new best every time out.
11.06 open headers----so far!!

Maybe you can talk to Norwalk as a contingency plan in case that promoter can't or don't follow through! I can't believe that Norwalk would want to lose that event's income and I'm sure it would be well attended.

Because people are bored without things to complain about.
