Scott Sieveking (S and S Promotions) is the guy that put on Monster Mopar for the first 26 years.
There will probably be flyers being put out soon.
Any real advertising will be done as it was before, he (probably along with the MO/IL Dodge dealers) paid for it.
I also said "I don't think he's a computer online type of guy at all" but I can't say if that's true for sure. I have several friends that don't do anything on forums. He said he "Doesn't go on online forums", not everyone does.

Scott said he'll be at the local Barret Jackson party this Saturday so if anyone want to talk to him directly about it. I questioned the name use and he said "That's what it is". He said other things pertaining to the sale of MMW, Josh, etc. but those are for the two of them to deal with.

I have a legitimate question. Does anyone on this board know the exact details or were directly involved in the deal between Josh and Scott? I seriously doubt it!! I have heard rumors just like everyone else; however, the bottom line is that they are probably the only two that know. Its time to start dealing with facts.
Fact: You have heard from one person (me) that got information from someone that had talked to Scott that there was going to be an event at Gateway.
Fact: You have now heard from a second person that talked to Scott directly that the event is happening.
Fact: I was asked by my source, not Scott, to help spread the word that the event was gonna happen.
Fact: Monster Mopar was originally run by S&S and was a very well attended event until Gateway shut down.
Fact: Josh has run events under the Monster Mopar name for the past two years and have also been well attended.
Fact: I have no affiliation with any of these promoters. I am simply a Mopar racer who loves the sport and if you are having an event and I can help spread the word then I am going to do so. I dont care if your name is Scott, Josh, or whoever. There are several more promoters having events this year as well. There is a sticky of Mopar events I believe.
Fact: Until such time that you have seen the contract between Scott and Josh, seen cancelled checks, or have proof of money exchanged; you have nothing but opinions and hearsay based on what you have read on a forum or heard through the grapevine. Those opinions and hearsay do nothing but undermine what both promoters are trying to do. Which appears to be putting on a great Mopar show for us to attend.
Fact: I am in no way attempting to put anyone down that have made comments. I enjoy these events and the many of you that I have met at these events. I simply want to have well run Mopar races to attend and it appears we have one of the really good ones back this year in addition to the good ones that Josh already runs.

If Josh didn't pay then the no compete would be nun and void and he would advertise. So since he is doing it through third parties tells me it is still in effect and that makes my option of his business dealings worse. It's fine if he wants to put on shows just use a separate name and wait till your contract is done. Just kinda underhanded in how he is doing it. Again just my opinion and my reason why I won't attend his advent.

Josh has already commented of fastmopar that the non-compete is over. The lawyers can figure it out the name issue if they haven't already. When I did a google search of monstermoparstl.com it appears that the domain is registered. Quote:

It's my understanding that Chrysler owns the rights to using Mopar in the name and must be paid yearly by anyone using Mopar in the name.
If they weren't paid that may have made the name available. I don't know, that was speculated to me by someone as how the name could be used.
The smart move would be to wait and see what comes out on the name thing as far as who owns the rights to any of them.
Some people aren't going to do the smart thing no matter what, oh well that's their prerogative.
It doesn't matter to me who puts on a Mopar event (Scott, Josh, Jim Belinda) if I can afford to I'm going to it.
Both Scott and Josh have their good things and bad things as promoters and as people. I've personally seen both of them treat people that were helping the with the events poorly.
None of us are perfect, we all have our flaws.
People can play the loyalty game if they want but I think that they've got blinders on if they think they're loyalty really means something in the end to the promoter.
Any promoter that puts on an event does it to make a profit, it's not done to give us something to do.
Some people are going to have a different opinion on that, that's fine. It's just my opinion.

Thank you. That illistrates one thing that many people dont realize. When a promoter rents most tracks. They have to pay for it up front and there is no refund if it rains out. These promoters take a huge financial risk to put these events on. This is one of the reasons that you now often see promoters looking at the weather on Sunday and if it looks really bad, they run Sunday's deal on Saturday and or combine the purses. Again, I respect all these guys and Im gonna support their events till somebody pee's in my Wheaties.

Scott is also an employee of Chrysler at this time.
He said he should be retiring in about 6 weeks from now.
The reality is that we're all flies on the wall on how everything about this will work out.
Some people will attend the events, some won't.
Hopefully they'll make informed decisions about it, but whatever they do it's their own choice.
