The article is very well written and is a great tribute. Lynne and Steve did a great job with it. Anyone who hasn't read the article it definitely worth picking up the latest copy of Chrysler Power.

Two months in a row and two great articles in two great magazines.

BGR Championship Series is pleased to announce two new partners.

Bobs Pro Fab
Has over 20 years experience he puts into each and every build. If you have seen some of his work you know the quality and time that go into each piece that is fabricated. These pieces are am excellent addition to anyone's program. Looking for that custom fabrication edge give Bobs Pro Fab a call.

Koffel's Place
Dave and Scott are the one stop shop for all of your engine needs. Home of the B-1 Head, these guys know how to make the power. They offer a great line of engine combos to suit your needs and also have a Dyno on site to help tune your setup for optimum on track performance.

Koffel's will be giving away a $500 machine work certificate or an eight (8) hour dyno session to 2014 Q-16 Points Champion.

Thank you to Bob's Pro Fab and Koffel's Place for their support of the 2014 Bob George Racing Championship Series.

Just a little teaser on another cold night. Carmen Tedesco and the folks at Carmen's Cafeteria will be preparing the food for the Racer's BBQ on Saturday at Pittsburgh Raceway Park. The menu will have Carmen's famous Italian Sausage and Meatballs. I know we are excited about having Carmen and his folks taking the time to prepare this for us. Remember the racers BBQ on Saturday is for everyone and there is no charge to partake in the festivities.

I also want to take the time to thank all of our sponsors:

Bob George Racing
Melissa and Nolan George
Tony and Suzanne George
Larry Smith
Cope Racing Transmissions
Hard Metal Tooling
Buds Auto Sales
Martik Brothers Inc
Ultimate Converters
FireCore Wires
Century Link
Superformance Products
Bobs Pro Fab
Koffels Place
Bowman Performance

We appreciate everything you are doing for the series and the racers and their families.

We are just a little over two months from opening up the gates at PRP for the race of the BGR Championship Series. Who will be the first champions crowned? Will it be you?

The races will deliver some great things for all of the racers and spectators. There will be round prizes awarded every day to one lucky loser...If you come up short in the round we will be doing random tech card draws, best losing RT, closest to dial but lost and best losing package to award these prizes.

Thank you all for your interest and look forward to meeting all of you in person when we open the gates. Until then think warm thoughts...

We are pleased to announce that Rick at FireCore Performance has joined the great list of partners with the BGR Championship Series.

Custom Wire Sets & Performance Products,LLC. was born out of the need for a perfect fitting, exceptionally high performing, and consistent flowing ignition wire. Hence, the ultimate performing FireCore50™ ignition wire was developed. After numerous Dyno and on-the-track testing; showing increased horsepower and torque, we knew we had developed something special. Word began to spread, and engine builders from all over the world, were inquiring about FireCore50 ignition wires.

Thank you very much for your support.

The BGR family and the family of Curt George again want to express our heartfelt thanks and appreciation to AJ and all the sponsers and supporters of this new event series.
That the Curt Memorial Race has endured and developed for an entire decade and has been able to survive despite the many issues we see surrounding past and present events only goes to further demonstrate the respect and honor for Curt, his memory and his legesy. We at BGR want to be sure that we extend that respect and honor to everyone who supports and attends these events.
As for myself,I'am humbled by this experience.

I clearly need more vacation time and a better tax return….Looks like an awesome series.

Is that a Q16 race each day?
How is the Q16 and S/P run order?
If you don’t make the Q16 do you fall into S/P without additional entry fee?
What is typical of the open wheel ET bump in Q16?

Thanks in advance !

Hey Jerry. Yeah we could all use a little more tax refund and definitely more vacation. It seems like that 9-5 work thing always gets in the way of fun.

To answer your questions:

Yes there will be a Q16 race each day.
Run order at this time is: SPRT, PRO, SP, NSS, Q16.
Yes if you are bumped from the Q16 you will be entered into SP.
I would say if you are solid in the 4.XX you will be in the show.

Thanks for your interest and look forward to meeting you this summer. Also check out the Points fund for the Series a few posts up. Q16 champion will be awarded with cash, a gold card for the 2015 events and a $500 machine work credit or 8 hour dyno session from Koffels Place.
