I run a Turbo-Action forward pattern manual VB in my Street / Strip Satellite with a B&M Quicksilver shifter. Works like a charm!

i have this too but with a column shift. no issues or grumbles at all. i love having my head 'bobble-head' when it shifts in drive!

Wild Bill, You use kick down linkage with that valve body?

Yes, you still use the kickdown linkage.

Actually 106 bucks...LOL

I use that one. I hear the argument someone made about slamming into reverse, but I'm using a ratchet shifter so no worries there.

The shifts are fast, and firm the harder you're on it. But it doesn't jar your brain when it shifts, which is fine with me. I don't think a harder shift would be any faster but who knows.

What is the advantage to higher line pressure one would get in a RMVB?

Higher pressure equals more clamping force on bands and clutches. May be required for higher horsepower applications.

I am a 100% gearhead from the 70's and myself I dont care for the forward valve bodies in my street/strip car. The main reason is when I go racing I like to pull the shift lever back towards me when racing and pinned back in the seat. My buddy has the forward pattern in his Duster and I raced it for him but it just seems so weird when racing and pushing the shifter forward instead of pulling it backwards which just seems so simple when racing or even driving on the street to me. I guess you could say I fell like I am doing it backwards when racing with a forward pattern valve body. Ron

Naughty boy ... you should be PUSHING BUTTONS instead of pulling levers ....
