Doc do you even watch the show? Its really pretty easy to figure out and if not there's plenty of good info about the show if you weed thru the BS. It is what it is. I'd rather watch this than a show about getting married, being stuck on an island with a bunch of cut-throats, making moonshine, making duck calls, or any other TRASH that's on TV now. Relax Doc and take the good with the bad. When the farm truck comes on or a part of the show I don't like I log on to Moparts.
BURGHERster ... YES I have watched the show ....NOT religiously like some ... and I like it. YES it is better than those others you list ... moonshine and duck-calls ....WHAT THE FUGG do they see in that duck one ?
And uNlike you ...I like most of the antics of the FlimFlamFarm ....

You would be correct ! Mike is a local Syracuse guy. Its a SBC, with some really good heads, done up by a VERY good cylinder head specialist... ...He has a bunch of different cars, and you never know if he is going to put it on the bumper, twist the chassis, go off into the puckerbrush ( and then back out!) drive sideways downt the track...or ( insert your favorite idea here). He likes the NOS, isnt afraid to use it, and will drive everything he has till it breaks, then put it back together and break it again, but he is certainly an entertaining fella....

How fast do you think they were really going? The finish line was a rail crossing sign. Who in their right mind is going to race toward activd rr tracks?
All 4 cars were imports, how fast can any of them really go?

Bro you need to give them (discovery) the right to show you. They discovery can not film a know illegal act with prior knowledge of said act. It's T.V. get over it.
Me ...OVER IT ? ... never was IN IT as far as believing it was really REAL. A known illegal act ? .... then EVERYTHING about the show is phony Xcept the final "street races" that are done at some well-lit track.
The final "street race" ARE on the street not at"some well lit track"

Also they ran 3 races in the same place and waited on other cars to arrive twice. I guess they were in a cop-free zone.
If you look carefully in one of the races, you can see a cop car past the railroad tracks blocking traffic.Maybe the few cars there are done so by the producers. Ever since the episode where the Farmtruck kid slid away so he didn't have to work on the truck that give him his 15 seconds of recognition, I long to see him bashed in the head, maybe the dog goes crazy and rips his face off.

With more racing and less other filler crap, the show has been better. I don't love it, but I'll watch it now when bored.
I didn't agree with the part about their "street cars" are faster than the drag week guys. The drag week cars are street cars built to go fast at the track. The guys on the show, have race cars built for racing on the street. They don't drive them to race and most don't even have plates and so on. Little less ego and drama about cops... when they clearly have lights and so on set up... it could be pretty good.

Hardly.......how many 6.0 cert street cars you see tooling around your town. Make no mistake, the Unlimited Class cars are RACE CARS. They HAVE to be to meet they specs for the speeds they run. Anything can be made streetable with work. Lutz' 57 is a 6.0 cert chromoly chassis, with struts and a 4-link. It has a 600+ cubic inch motor with twin 94mm turbos. Not exactly a grocery getter

I'm not saying daily drivers... but they do have to drive the cars how many miles to compete in drag week. Maybe not what most consider a street car, but as least proven to be driven on the street not trailered a few miles to make a pass then loaded back up.
I don't see whats so appealing of racing on the street is if you don't drive the car/truck on the street to the place on the street your racing at.
Hopefully the shows good for business... definitely didn't miss your name on the t-shirt
