I'd like to see some examples of some 255/70R15 tires on B bodies or any other Mopar for that matter. Can anyone help with some photos? I'd like to see what they will look like with the wider sidewall.

I run 255/70r15 on my truck, but what I really wanted to let you know was they are 1" bigger than the 275/60r15 you have now. But anyway, what What I can tell you is these tires (BFG Radials)came off a friends 65 Satellite that has some Cragar SS wheels (I *think* they are 15x7 wheels). They fit his car just fine and his is all stock minus the wheels.

Outcast Dodge guy.

Yes, I know they are 1" taller than the 275/60R15. That's no big deal. Thanks for the info.

No one runs 255/70R15's on their B body cars? Just looking for how they look relatively to the side wall mainly.

Who even makes a 255-70-15 in a passenger car tire?

That's a light truck tire size, hence the reason nobody is running them on their car.

I can fix it... my old man is a television repairman.

Looks like you can get that size in a BFG radial T/A, Cooper Cobra GT, or Mastercraft Avenger GT.

May want to ask for pictures on the racing board. Just ask the guys who run a 29" tall slick. That'll give you an idea height-wise of what it'd look like.

I had them on my 67 and have a pic at home. I'll post up later. I still have them for when I take my drag radials off.

Truck size?! Geez, they aren't that big for heaven's sake. BFGoodrich, Good Year and others have them. They're about 1" narrower than the 275/60/15 and 1" taller. So from the center they are a half an inch taller and a half inch wider. Not much, but enough.

I have had them on my 69 Road Runner for years. The are on 15 x 7 Eaton Slotted Aluminum wheels. I had to put on air shocks, for slight rubbing. I could send pictures to your e-mail. I have trouble posting on this site. My e-mail RScid@datacruz.com . Hope this helps.

Jeff, can you tell me what size wheels and tires front and back you're using? Looks great! Trying to see what I can squeeze into a 67 Satellite.

P255/70R15 on a 15x8 with 4.5" backspace. it is tight. 4.75 backspace would be better. I've trimmed the lip since the picture....also haven't driven the car with them on yet. C'mon Spring

I've thought about using 255/70r15's on my car for the street tires to cut down on the highway rpm from having 4.10 gears in the dana. (once the 255/60's are worn out).

It doesn't get any traction on the street anyway so keeping the revs down wouldn't hurt.
The 275/60 drag radials are for track only.

gregsrt's pics are part of what is making me think about going that route.

Beautiful car! Those 255/70's look good. I'm gonna switch to them for they are not quite as wide as the 275/60 but the same diameter.

Thanks! Those look really nice. Just picked up a 67 Satellite and curious how much I can squeeze in without a mini tub.

Those are 255/70 rears on 15x7's with 4 3/8 BS and 15x5.5 with 205 75 15 in front. This pic has 275/60 on same rims and 15x4.5 fronts with 205/75-15's
