Top !
That is what I feared. You don't by chance have a need for 4 cans of Vitamin C 2K Spray paint? I suppose I could make some cool garage art and paint it Vitamin C! Kids bikes, my wheelbarrow, the options are endless.

Any color fades up over time, bright colors become lighter so it makes since that your underhood would be lighter than fresh paint.
Paint colors are mixed and bad mixes happen all the time, if the whole job is done withi it, it may not be obvious at first until it is beside a correctly color. Good and I mean really good mixers can match faded/mismixed paint colors, very few exist any more since the age of computer mixers.
Find a good mixer, have him do the best he can, shut it and live with what you get. Chances are it wont be the only thing that isn't perfect/correct.
Careful, your character's showing!

I was told i
Sometime people tell you wrong too.
Seems to be the case here. I will get the paint color matched, or at minimum have my side scoop shot with a color match camera to see just how close it is to EV2.
Thanks all.

Painters Supply in Plymouth Mi its on Ann Arbor Trail west of 275. Two guys there can mix what you need and it can be put in aerosol cans. Ryan or Dennis are very good at color matching just give them a week and you will be happy...........Paul
So I went to Painters Supply today. The chip in the book looks right on for EV2, Torred. I left them my side scoop for final matching of the color and they will have some paint mixed up for me and put into 2 component spray cans in a couple of days. Thanks!

If you plan to paint the underside of the hood only then get the color matched and have at it BUT if you plan to do the engine compartment then I'd suggest that unless you plan to drop the motor and strip all the components, you'd be better off to leave it alone an live with it. If you try painting it with everything in there it will end up looking worse than a color mismatch! And to paint just the underside of the hood ... who really looks ?!?! Besides (and don't take this the wrong way) its still a "clone".
Thanks...Motor is out for rebuild, steering gear out for replacement,2 speed wiper motor pulled to replace with 3 speed motor to accomodate the grabber style air cleaner, so it wasn't much more work to strip the rest of the underhood components.
