Okay, where is Bret Kepner? This is a North Carolina Drag Strip I have not heard mentions in "alota Years." This little track was up off of, I believe Highway 321 near Lenoir, North Carolina, near Hickory.

I just want to thank everyone for sharing there photos and stories.

After seeing those Hickory track photo's I have new appreciation for the "match race days" and the nerves of steel those guys had to run those tracks.

Amazing.

That is a much safer way to come back! LOL

Check out the dirt road beside the tower and going up the mountain!

"Turbo will be easiest, and at the HP level will also be easiest on parts. Spend the money to do it right, and you can build a 500 HP street motor that will live a long and happy life, and probably with a very basic short block." Those words must have left a bad taste in his mouth!

Lets go back to the main topic..

Here is a pic that Stewart took this weekend of the (real)--MOPAR Missile that was recently taken back out of Big Daddy's museum by it owner of 18 yrs. Ben Donhoff. Looks pretty good.

But in a conversation with Ben, he explained he was running nitrous. Thus the 7.80's times

Thoughts.?
But none the less..Glad to see it back on the track

to Ben D.
