Got the rear end back together, just need shocks and weld the spring perches to the axle tube which I will do when I weld a bracket in to support the front of the fuel tank

Jim, it's perfect after I had the new springs de-arched 3 inches, driveshaft is a straight shot to the tranny now.

Its best to have a few degrees of drive shaft angles, in opposite directions, or the u-joints will lock up from not moving.

Sweet! Your knocking off items on the "before I can safely drive it list" in record fashion. You've got to be jazzed

The front brakes were a mess. Getting the brakes fixed, had 2 new hoses made today and a local company is re-shoeing the front brake shoes. I got 2 new wheel cylinders and front inner seals coming from back east.

New gas tank off of eBay arrived today, $107.00 shipped to my door, it's 11 gallons out of a mid 90s Suzuki Sidekick, fits perfect behind the rear axle. Since the tank is now behind the axle I got a fuel door off of a 1996 Buick Riviera which I will mount and weld into the drivers side rear fender

Mike, pipe and tank are long gone and the hole in cab is covered with this old Pontiac emblem, it will get welded closed during restoration in a couple of years

The hole in the floor of the cab will get a metal plate siliconed over it till I weld it shut during the restoration in a couple of years.
