Went up to don's to get some missing parts for 70 with my buddy and made an interesting afternoon to say the least. Um, my reference to the auction was of the blue 71 vert. Went for $405,000 IIRC. The purple car at Graham just sat on a trailer. Two (three?) guys in there late 30's early 40's had it. It sort of seemed the "car show" scene wasn't their normal gig.......

Seized from the same person that owned the 71 hemi cuda rag top, as the feds were still looking for it at the time. My friend picked up that 70 hemi cuda and yes it was the auto for less than 12k that day. Wasn't looking to buy but was first car auctioned and no one was bidding. The good old days. The reason he put (parting out)on it at the Graham show was because he was tired of dealing with a bunch of bone heads that he didn't want to waste time with and it worked as they left.
