My rear quarters were rolled the old school pipe tire method before the body work was started. Its subtle enough nobody notices after the body work was done.

Would a fiberglass fender be a better/easier starting point for adding flares?
Reality check, that half the population is smarter then 50% of the people and it's a constantly contested fact.

2nd one is some Dart in Europe I think...I think a nice "pull" to the front fenders would look killer. I already squeeze 275's in front as it is but 295s would be better!

We used a 2" steel pipe between the tires and the wheel well with tires that were very tight to the stock lip. Then you just have a buddy rotate the tire while you steady the pipe and let it roll on the tire all the way around the radius of the wheel well. It had a couple hi/low spots that needed a little pounding out but was otherwise very consistent and did a great job.
Mopar to the bone!!!

What are you running in the back? I could just barely fit P245's in the back of my 72 Swinger and that was after I rolled the inner fender lip. Had less than a finger's width of room between the leaf and the fender. Did you minitub it or something?
Something tells me wheel width and backspacing may be your problem.

Nope, tire was about 3/8" from the leaf and about 3/8" from the rolled fender lip. Can't get it any better than that. Sidewall bulge was the rub point though. Maybe with a taller rim and shorter sidewall I could have gotten more under the fender, but this was back in the early 90's and taller rims and tires were not common.
They say there are no such thing as a stupid question. They say there is always the exception that proves the rule. Don't be the exception.

That makes sense...

I just ordered a pair of AMD fenders to modify to fit 315's under the front of my Challenger. I'll put away my original fenders just in case it doesn't work out or I don't like the look and want to return the car to stock. Hope to get at it in the next month or 2?
I'm thinking of something like on the Javelin?

I have rolled AMD fenders on my car and I think I can fit 315/30-18 BFG Rivals on 10.5" wheels if I wanted to. A 315 is about 12.5" wide physically so it should fit. While it fits a 10.5" wheel, I feel that a 315 tire is a better fit for an 11" wheel to fully utilize the contact patch of the tire. Problem is that an 11" wheel is more difficult to fit without having bumpsteer issues on my car. 315's should fit on 10.5's with rolled fenders no flares needed

Gets some pics of Posey's car. That one had cool looking bulges, the rears were more noticable. I would'nt build a flare where there isnt one I think bulging what is there is way more appealing. http://24.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_lbkgkkESbs1qdcd2wo1_500.jpg
I looked at lots of them but I don't think I want to screw with the body line on the fender? I'll do some mock ups before I do any cutting though? Undecided....
