"Can't remember for sure, but don't you help or work for a shop that specializes in Vintage race cars? Sorry if I'm incorrect."
Yeah, guilty as charged. Have a few under my belt; mostly hired on to projects. Not many well-known cars, except the ex-Penske ex-Roy Woods #1 '71 Javelin. The '67 Mustang I referred to was a Shelby customer car still owned by its original purchaser. Each one of course requires research either to confirm that what you have is correct, or to find it.
I seems like there is a large network of vintage shops, support crew, rental teams, etc around the Sonoma and Laguna Seca area.

That's Milt in the #68 Camaro; Roy Woods drove the sister car #69. They were the Penske Camaros in '69; Woods bought Penske's year-old racecars - even Indy cars - most every year for a while and moved them to his shop in SoCal from PA. Milt was quite the character, basically a wildman; VERY funny guy. TransAm was a lot like Top Fuel and other classes back in the day; there were the hitters and a lot of average Joes - some with a lot of talent - who'd show up and race.
Did you help or crew on road racing teams in the 60's, 70's, 80's ??
