Wow!?!?! Not here. I like the 61-71 trucks but prefer them from newest to oldest. Not sure if I'd even want to own a 61.

I could swear in the quick shots they had of the engine bay that I saw a gm alternator hanging off the engine that was in it.

I think there is a chance it might have had a gm engine in it to begin with?

Plus, the truck was sitting there broke and it had not run for a really long time, which would be considered normal if it had a gm engine

Looked like a SB Chubby, saw the HEI dist as well

The boys DVR'd it and I checked the freeze frame, and sure enough there it was. I noticed the hei too.

For as many pretentious haters there are in this forum, you all sure do know a lot about the show. I think the guys on the show are laughing all the way to the bank.

Mine has a 440 and paint

so, it must be worth $55,000 ??

I would come closer to believing that on your truck, then the $40/$50,000 they were supposed to have gotten out of that truck.

Mine can be owned for much less than what they "sold " that one for

I am not trying to run my mouth but, my truck puts that one to shame

It sure does. Your truck is sweet!

Like I said earlier, obviously this truck was actual built for the guy doing the office. They may make it sound like it wasn't but that just adds to the story... The guy was into old stuff as that has to do with his business, so why would he want some shiny fresh painted truck.

Since they added those new idiots on the show, it's been going down hill. They aren't funny, they just make the shop look worse in my opinion.

All staged drama,I could live with the fraud[ford] front end but shouldve used a mopar drivetrain....they apparently dont like mopar so much as to reason their low IQ'S...funny to watch..ass monkeys u suk by asian woman...most shows are biased against mopars for some reason, maybe theyre scared of them I dont know..same with pinks u dont see much mopar even tho rich is a mopar fan....and if you believe for one moment they actually get the kind of money they claim too then u must be a re-re...come-on 50k for that botched up ugly old dodge pu...then my 71 dart 440 is worth 200k and I would paint 'ass monkey' on it for free and get a tatoo of that asian woman on my forehead....but hey its TV...not much is real anymore just our mopars in the garage for sure..

Good lord, could you imagine Moparts as a 'reality show'? Probably would make Jerry Springer seem like Mister Rodgers Neighborhood.

I like the show. I am happy that the guy (Richard) was able to get a shop going, employ some people, have a TV show, and make some money. I think 90% of us would like to be doing the same thing instead of building someone else's empire for chicken scratch.

Somewhere it was mentioned they get paid like 185k an episode. Sounds like a lot, but I guess for tv, that's probably not that much. I'd gladly do the same for half the price
