I'm assuming someone is passing it as a hemi car (rob). The fonts don't even match.

Is the car red or orange?
Does it have "N42" tips on the fender tag, yet it's supposed to be a CA car?

IIRC this car was here in Vegas at one point, ask for a picture of the transmission part number stamped on the other side. If it is the same car, the trans is from '74 or '76?

They used a grinder to remove the original numbers off the trans, original numbers were stamped low on the pad on this particular trans.
Then they stamped the last 9 digits instead of 8 . The R (engine code) does not belong here .

Is it me or does the engine VIN look raised, not depressed?
Also appears to have build up on the pad , especially looking at the last digit ( 7) and going to the right.

It's you on it looking raised , the paint, the picture angle and whatever else is under that paint is playing tricks on your eyes.

As far as the build up and such

Must be all those 3-D pictures I used to look at

Regardless the tranny stamp is already at issue, so in my book puts the integrity of all the other stamps into question.

Both stamps are bogus and all that does is put the rest of the car in question. I wouldn't touch it. If someone fakes (poorly) these #'s they'll fake anything else as well.
