There couldn't possibly be a less aerodynamic shape than the 66/7 B's. (???).

. Sure there is...lol

have read in the past in some formula 1 sites that anything below 145 or 140 mph aero hasn't much if any effect. in performance.

I can PROVE thats BS... my car was unstable at 133 or
so... with the rear wing I picked up a few mph and gained
stability... since then now I'm up to 150+... it is
about the shape of the rear as Greg pointed out.. but
my car being a short hatch back the whole rear of
th car was getting negative pressure off the roof
line and lifting the car off the ground... I didnt
know I was actually spinning my slicks at 133 mph

Was that from 1959?

We might be discussing degree of effect, but my sources say surprisingly 40mph is measurable, and if the above has merit, better tell the college SAE car engineers.

Reality check, that half the population is smarter then 50% of the people and it's a constantly contested fact.

Lets not!!!

I get it now, that thing`s a brick and about as aero as a barn door..............

Don't kid yourself, Dom. You're only SLIGHTLY more aero than he is. I think I have you all beat.... There couldn't possibly be a less aerodynamic shape than the 66/7 B's. (???).

Did someone mention a brick???? Mine pushes around 38.5 square feet of air. I definitely have to do something to keep the frontend stuck to the ground at speed.Dave

As far as aerodynamics and wind restitance I use to go out to the dry lake at El Mirage to watch the top speed racers, those guys would tell you anyone can run 125. MPH, a lot of cars can run 150 MPH, but to go from 150 MPH to 175 MPH reuquired either doubling the HP or reduce the aerodynamic drag It is all relatitive on HP, drag and improvements, isn't it I also know some guys that help several different Formula 1 air racers (tiny airframes and motors ) at the Reno air races, they really focused on drag reduction Any and all gains are worth while

Mr.Cab Racing and winning with Mopars since 1964. (Old F--t, Huh)

After eyeballing a record holding Dakota at the Nationals…. I have some new ideas about how I'm going to reduce more aero drag. I think I can get it about another 1.5" lower, for whatever that will help with. It is amazing to me that a "butt-dyno" can actually measure and register a 2 mph change in trap speed. I had no idea mine was that "calibrated"! hahaha
