A lot of it has to do with the shape of the back of the car. My dart is VERY stable at 150+, probably due to the high/long trunk lid, combined with the high quarter panels.

I can believe that it doesn't make much difference on something with a drag coefficient of a Formula 1 car….. but I don't think anybody with a Mopar will be that lucky. LOL On my little beasty - the front and rear spoilers have really settled the truck handling down at speed, but still unsure whether it's help or hurt the ET and MPH. A block-off plate in the grill helps by about 2 mph and about 1.5 tenths. I guess it's really tough pushing a barn door at 130 mph. At speed the back lexan window is sucked backwards toward the tailgate. I still need to try and solve that if I could. I forgot all about pursuing that part of the aero equation.

Its a joke, He has a Brick
Dom, I would skip the rear airfoil, but would do a front spoiler and block off plate.

My buddies 68 Drag Radial Chevelle runs 7:60's at 165+ in the quarter & we had a starting line incident one time when the car didn't start. The other guy waited patiently for us to get started. Once the track official gave him the go & we finally got it started we did not have enough time to get the removeable deck lid & wing installed & made a pass anyway without them. We won the race & went 2 MPH faster than it ever has. Made me a believer that all of these big wings on the back make no difference. The car is not at speed long enough to notice.
Rear wings are for downforce, NOT speed. Common sense tells you anything back there catching air will slow you down. I can add 1/2" to the wickerbill on the pro-Mod and slow it down 2 mph, but on a loose track we HAVE to have it up top to keep it stuck.
