Most everybody is going to give you the same recommendation. Dual 500 gpm fuel pumps with -16 lines. All this get-a-big-fuel-pump crap started 25 years ago when the $400 Barry Grant fuel pump became a status symbol. The guy was a marketing genius. He made people with $500 cars want a $400 fuel pump. Wide open your car will burn around 40 gph. 110 gph should be enough. Carter makes a mechanical pump just like you want that doesn't use a regulator. I would give that a try.
The Saturn V rocket that took men to the moon had high fuel flow for liftoff. The first stage had 5 engines. Each engine had a 55,000 horsepower fuel pump. That's your fuel pump trivia for the day.
Right on!!! I totally agree.
Yup you guys need those huge fuel pumps...in your trunks too. That's a safe good practice...not.
The guy said mostly for the street, not 8500 rpm at the track. I drive mine on the street almost everyday and I'm lucky if I can rev it past 3000 grand and stay with in the speed limit.
That "POS" electric Carter above is a proven pump plumbed properly. Which BTW most don't plumb it right and then blame the pump.
And just because the motor is aluminum, does not change the fuel pump requirements unless there is no fuel pump mounting provisions. lol

I disagree. An aluminum 528 hemi has to worth at least $15,000. It is worthy of a pump that will support the 700 hp it made on the dyno with out risking running out of fuel and leaning out the motor on the top end causing an engine failure. On the other hand a 440 built out of junkyard and swap meet parts might be worth trying the $100 controverial pump.
