It wouldn't surprise me if Fred is working out a deal with the high bidder.

If it was a 70-72 it would have brought more IMO.

Fred what did you think about the bids on all the cars as a whole? I thought they were down but within reason.

If the MODS did their job I would not be hitting the notify MOD button. LOL

How fast did that car end up going and what did it weigh? 1000HP should be real low 9's maybe even a high 8 if its under 3600 pounds.

1970 Duster
Edelbrock headed 408
5.984@112.52
422 Indy headed small block
5.982@112.56 mph

It's last pass when I owned it was 9.17 @ 147. Car weighed about 3,400 lbs with me in it. On that pass, it misfired badly and stopped pulling the last 200 feet or so. I was trying out the newly installed water/meth injection setup. I ran straight methanol (mistake), and the jets in the system were too big, causing it to run too fat, causing the misfire. I didn't make any more passes that day, because I forgot to bring smaller jets with me.

Beautiful car and ran good to. I to think the year held the bidding down. I started with a 72 Duster with sharkstooth and then a 74 and I really liked the car but didn't like the styling like the earlier ones. I now have a 1970 and 1972. Who did the black paint job on that car as is looks fantastic?
