76dodgeboy master Joined: Aug 2006 Posts: 8,064 Iowa	Easily would be just get a shortbed. Otherwise easily NoFrame needs shortened box needs shortened Rear driveshaft needs shortened. Frame and box need shortened in front and behind the wheels for it to look Stock

If your not and you want it to look good I wouldn't attempt yourself. has to be PRETTY good and straight cuts. might be better to use the longbox for patch panels

I drilled all the spot welds out and replaced the front bulk head and made 2 cuts along the front and rear of long bed floor shinking it down into the short box floor. this kept the gas fill bulge and tubs in correct position. I did shave the gas door on the outside of the box for a clean smooth slab side look. i also cut and add the LB set of stock tubs to 1/2 stock tubs in the short bed to tubbed it flush with the frame. if you plan to cut the side slabs/box down on each end.. I say good luck! thats a lot of time and body work I am not saying it can not be done,but for the effort/$/time/materals you would be way ahead of the game finding a rotted short box to patch up. 7704529-shortbedcut3.jpg (33 downloads)
