I've only viewed one set of 1971 Charger real deal factory installed louvers and noticed that the outer side pieces had the words EXPERIMENTAL molded into the undersides of them. They were removed from the car before the shell was sold and it was at a time back when I didn't have cell phone with a camera on it. lol All I could do was commit it to my memory as my friend sold them very quickly. This was around 1995 and I knew I should have forked over the $175 he wanted for them. GRRR! Has anyone ever seen this on a set before?

If I recall correctly, the center section is the same part for Dodge and Plymouth with the outer ends being different.

Dan- so, with three 911 SPD '71 Plymouths with the J68 option built (that we know of), do you think it was intentional to do a "batch build"? Right there, 2 of the 30 GTXs optioned with louvers were scheduled to be built, pretty neat.
WAG!! I think it's more of a case of the "southern California" Plymouth Dealer's association (or whatever they were) having a "new model introduction" meeting/show/etc. & the "SOLD" orders for these louver cars ending up at Plymouth HQ together. All 3 have 04xxxx VONs.
