I may need to ship my '66 300 from Bremerton, WA to Orlando, FL. Have any of you shipped a vehicle cross country? Any tips/tricks I need to know about? Any carriers I should avoid?

X's 2 with those guys. Used them last year. Don't wait until the last minute to schedule a pick-up date with whoever you go with. Stay away from the shipping brokers. They are just a headache.

I think it's true about brokers, I used them three months ago to ship a cuda from manhattan ny to pa. I saved alot of money, they only charged 200 dollars. They flat bedded my car with one other car and delivered it the same day. I had to keep on top of this though. They could not give me a specific date, it kept changing. My situation was a little different, but I thought I would share the experience anyway. Good Luck. I think the name was Domestic Auto Transport.
