Damn... just went and bought my sealer for the paint job... $250 for the sealer and stuff needed to shoot that.... sure am glad I have all the rest of the painting stuff.... I think I would have about $1100 into just the materials to do this.. its all PPG so its good quality stuff... its been a WHILE since I bought any painting material... and it sure has gone up
EVERYTHING is getting expensive. I go to a local auto body supply place , and from tape to primer to seam sealer to you name it. The only thing that got cheaper was the drive......they moved some 4 miles closer to my house.

I hear ya... just seems like paint products went way up... and the drive cost is about the same but they did move

When do you think you'll start on the body work?

Ok Tony... a couple of pics of it... boring... I pulled it out of the shop to do the final guide coat.. hopefully its the final one... all the front end parts are just hanging on it... all of the separate parts will be sprayed off the car but the whole thing gets painted at one time

I can be so STUPID at times... last night I was gonna shoot primer on a couple of spots that needed work.. well I ran out of the hardener/catalyst that I bought with the primer.. so I got some OLD catalyst that I had in the cabinet and mixed it up... it didnt look right in the mixing cup but I figured what the heck.. well this morning when I started to sand it, it was acting like it wasnt hard.. it was dry but not hard.. so I ended up sanding all that stuff off and picked up a new Qt of catalyst and shot it again... go back 3 steps and go forward one... all I had to do was pour it out and wait till today.... STUPID..... and I actually had a nightmare about this last night RANT OFF

Wow, I didn't know you were that far along on the body work. Good to hear that part is just about done. In comparison, painting is the easy part, and the most rewarding, but it can also be the most nerve racking.
