With spring around the corner how has everyones winter projects/upgrades on their cars been coming along?
I'm about done with mine, installed a Super Sprag and billet front drum in the trans. Also sent the convertor back to TA for a rebuild and restall. I straightened and re-enforced my framerails where the 4-links mounts. Yesterday I installed a larger radiator in the truck for better cooling on the street. Sent the recall tach back in for repair and re-enstalled that. Stil have to screw the slicks to the rims, last fall I had one turn on the rim. Dave

Sounds like you will be ready,Dave!! We haven't touched mine. I don't think we will run much this year. Priced VP 110 at 7.75 a gallon then add the entry fees of 90.00 for a day...

back half is complete with the exception of bleeding the brakes, finishing the tin work, reinstalling the interior,,,then it's re-set the valves, fresh tranny fluid and engine oil/filter and go thru the carb in preperation for fire-up,,then give it a bath and polish, load it up and take it to John Holts shop for a chassis dial in,,,,,then it time to go beat on it.

Ted; At $7.75 a gallon for race gas I'd seriously consider switching to E-85.Dave

its been a very expensive off season.i already installed a fire system.added more bars to the chasis.a new fuel system.new slicks and beadlocks.now the new stuff updates:i had my rear end reinforced and all brackets were welded up and powder coated.i had the car rewired and added k&r overhead switch panel and k&r pro cube delay box.i also got rid of the diaper for a belly pan.moved fuel system to the front of car and moved radiator and steering linkage 3 inches forward also did it for weight as the car is super light.added a pro stock hood for the big sv1`s.i should have car running very soon. watch out t/s evildaytona is coming at you very soon.

i want to give a big shout out to kennedy race cars here in colorado.

E-85 here is 3.05 a gallon. I live close enough to the pump where I could take my hand cart and 30 gallon barrel for a short walk...

Still working on the Rampage... doing the body work..
its about 80% done... as soon as the temps get up
I'll spray it... other than that I just need to put
the carpet in and bolt the seats back in... this
pic is just before I started the body work...right
now I have the front metal off for prep...

I have 2 choices... I have a few gals of Flame Red
or Chryslers version of Candy Apple Maroon ... I think
its gonna be the Flame Red but I'm gonna put micro
metallic in it then shoot ghost flames with just metallic
then clear... I have to do some test panels to see
what I like and if the metallic works right with
the red... the maroon color is a 3 step process and
I dont know if I have all of the material to do it..
no big deal, I can buy the second coat material

Plus we tested with E85 at the dyno, you should see a pickup of about 3% more hp/tq.

Thats a good price for E85. I paid $3.94 for 93 pump the other day here in Md. It runs fine on 92 also but not all stations have 92 as it seems the ones without 92 have 93. But I like the fact that since my car is a street car I want to be able to pull in any gas station and get gas. Ron
