Of course! I am mostly used to solid lifter motors (slants and 273s) and wasn't even thinking about the empty hydro lifters. Well at least the springs weren't heavily compressed for 38 years. Thanks Mike!

PS the double roller set is on the shelf. And I will gladly offer many of the "take-off" parts to anyone here for reasonable prices + shipping.

No prob! Crazy to see an "old" motor that clean inside. Document those internal inspection marks for the resto crowd!

I agree, but keep in mind that due to it being a late 70's engine MOST of those details will likely vary from earlier vintage small blocks.

*Dibs on all of the small throw away masking parts and plugs!

I believe some IH combines in the late 70's used industrial 318s.
