Hey guys,

I have my coworker's 68 Charger R/T in my shop and I'm starting to do the restoration. I found a few neat things; another build sheet (he has one already), a coffee cup from 1968 that a line worker must have thrown down, and some markings behind the back seat. I'm not sure what they mean. Anyone venture a guess? They are V-6-21-21 in black marker. Dan's car has never been apart. Never, and he's the original owner. So I know the coffee cup must have been from a line worker, but those numbers escape me. His car has a lot of neat markings on it that I plan on documenting before I restore the car. Thanks for the help!

Did they allow food and drinks outside of the break areas and on the assembly line? Any chance the cups were used to hold a handfull of nuts, bolts, washers, clips, etc., needed for interior assembly? If there is coffee residue in the bottom (edge) of the cups then that erases that thought.......it seems odd that workers would jepordize being allowed to have coffee on the line by leaving trash inside of a car on purpose? Seems like a good way to hold a bunch of small parts needed for assembly. Send the cups out for DNA testing to see if we can ID the lips that were on those cup rims

Robin, that cup for sure looks like it had coffee in it and not fasteners.......

My cup defenitely had coffee in it. A neat find. So any idea what those numbers mean? Your numbers look like mine (same style). He still has the original spare holding air from 1968 as well. Neat to think that air has been in there prior to us landing on the moon!

Cool stuff. I found this junk in a Superbird a few months ago. Under the original carpet.

While replacing the carpet in my brothers 71 roadrunner we found a empty Better Made potato chip bag and half a joint under the original carpet! someone must have taken their break in the car!!

I found two Dr. Pepper "Sugar Free" cans and a plastic bag of red clips.

I found the name "Rose" scrawled on the top of the glove box liner of a '71 Barracuda.

Hmmmm, you question raises some thought John. But, I don't think I'll put it back. Better off on display or something.
