Its about 1 step better than a small block SP2P intake and thats not saying much. Its best used as "Wall Art" or for aluminimum scrap..
I am truckless..

IMHO,you will not know of any results if you do not try it. I do stuff all the time. results vary. everyone told me the small port LD4B would not work out good on a 360headed 318. it was night and day over the performer. as a matter of fact,it works better on my 360 headed 318 than it does on the #302 headed 318 with the same roller cam back to back. would it do that on a 360?? maybe not. but I would try it before knocking it. I only knock what did not work for me. like the sp2p, I have never ran a street master. I put a holley street dom low rise open plane on a stock 2-v cam 318/small heads and it was a screamer with a q-jet in an A-body. put it on my 360 with 292/292 lunati bracket cam and it works great but you can tell it is holding it back. but thats a 3/4 ton 8 lug 4.10 gear long bed truck. swap my weiand action plus on the 440 for a RPM intake with a 600 eddy carb. 3.91sg just put the q-jet/3.23 gear on it and picked it up from a flat 10 mpg to 13 mpg and still has some I have a weiand 360* intake that is open plane with a divider down the middle and it is low rise with almost no runners for a squarebore carb. if nothing else a good weekend T&T to know if it works or is truly shelf art for the shed. same with the wieand single carb tunnel ram i picked up. either it works or it is nice shelf art for the shed. if you are not into 'testing' it,then you still cant beat free. dont you have a mancave or shed to put it in? I have a stock intake that will most likly out do either of the ones you have if you want it. scratch up a thermobog or a qaudrajunk for it. you are more than welcome to try the offy intake or the t-ram if you want to. if not I will take both off of your hands to go on the shelf in my shed with the rest of my art work holding my carbs up off the shelf. you could have already swaped it and know if it was an improvment or not. I will wager it is a little better than the sp2p but you should be looking for a street dom or RPM intake. IMHO. and a big plus is you have no TV linkage to fuss with.

Performer all the way. Streetmaster was a half-baked idea that came out of the same mental malfunction as the sp2p. Sort of a mash-up that instead of combining the best of two ideas combined the worst of the two.
R.
Double D .....what have you been ? ....
The SP2P did EGGzackLEE what is was designed for ...improve MPG ...and it DID-DO just that. The StreetMaster was a blend of mpg and street performance.

It's clear that we don't agree on this. My reference to 165 hp 440s was to the SP2P. Sounds like what you REALLY need is an S.P.2.P-2V . Ever seen one of those? R.

THAT is clear All I am relaying is my personal experience ..... MOST EVERYTHING talked-about-here is HP .... NEITHER of these intakes are that but they are good(in my experience) for better throttle response and mpg. Again .... I am running the SM on that MH .... things are fine with the 4.56 gear .. but when I go to the 3.73 ...I will be putting on the SP2P..... since RPMing the motor will be lessened by that swap. The 2V SP2P ? ...I have seen that for the SBC and HEARD that there was one for the SBM and Ford .... but that is it. I would NOT want one of those for the BBM .... because any 2 bbl carbs I know of are not-the-plan for any decent MPG..... PLUS you need 4 bbls at times with towing. And AGAIN .... don't junk any of these intakes for scrap-aluminum ...sell them to ME

I'll have both the StreetMaster and SP2P ready soon. What is a fuel miser-minded guy willing to pay for the pair....?

Dang....This thread started 8 years ago! R.I.P. 340shorty. This weekend I just removed the Holley street dominator I got from Larry just days before his passing. I have cleaned it up some and getting it ready for a brand new ITB/NOS holley 650cfm spredbore Vac2ndary carb that list for an 85 dodge d150 with a 360 4v. military surplus. scored it for 200$ free shipping. so holley intake gets a holley carb at last. time sure fly's by fast.

I remember that screen name "340 Shorty". I haven't been around this site that much though. The multiple bans for inane reasons along with other, better sites have taken my time. If you don't mind sharing, what other sites have you been on for discussing mopars? Most of the ones I was on several years ago have dried up and withered on the vine.

I built one 440 street motor with a SP-2P intake, only one The Eddy CH4B, Performer and Performer RPM intakes work a lot better than a lot of the other ones out there
Mr.Cab Racing and winning with Mopars since 1964. (Old F--t, Huh)
