I used a carpet set from ECS for my 1968 Charger. Practically installed itself. Fits great. More expensive, and worth it.

Motor Parts South (704) 435-2692 Talk to Geoff or Dennis, and tell them you want the GOOD carpet they sell. I've yet to hear someone say they didn't like it.

I used the ACC high cut pile and had no issues with fitment. It was my first install ever and I didn't do enough homework about where the accelerator paddle sits on the pad so mine only overlaps the pad by maybe and 1/8" but that was my fault. Other than that it fits pretty well.

Trimparts in my 72 demon 4spd. Stitched edge faded fast to brown the rest fit well enough. The area just in front of the driver's seat didn't fit down perfect but it still looks good.

I've used more ACC than TrimParts, and I don't recall who made the carpet in my Roadrunner (installed it in '88), but:
1. Never had a problem being too narrow or too short; luck?
2. ACC fits an early-B 4-speed hump much better than TP.
3. TP early-B heel pad is more accurate than ACC's but not by a lot.
4. I fuss with laying it out & let it sit for a day or so before the install.
5. Check 3x before my first cut, which is the gas pedal, followed by tunnel-area seat belts.
6. Can't comment on fading, none of my cars have spent that much time outdoors in the sun, I guess.

I fuss with letting it sit out a day or two myself

We got a TP on a deal on a 70 LS5 Coupe with a lot of other parts they sell for that car also Everything we got with that car fit well except the carpet.
My guy who does my seat repairs takes a bad azz Snap On heat gun & a wet towel & heats that crap until it fits where it's supposed to. The only downfall to that is if he has to stretch it too far it spreads the pile out & it can get noticeable
