I "planned" on using a solid flat tappet but it looks like that idea may be changing as we speak

I don't know what good this info is but the push rod clearance on the port is 7* ground into the port.
ps,I double checked my rocker offset with the 7* on the pushrod and I would need .8025 total offset to be o/c on the v-stem.with my adjustable pr I will check with things mocked up.
edit:A 9.5" pushrod offsets .875 at 7*

Here is a build using Isky 1612RH roller lifters.

get crazy with the offset on the rockers, it eill increase the side load on the lifters

Backward - the offset should make the pushrod vertical to the tappet axis with no side-thrust.

I would think the 7* pr angle is about as far as you want to go,an Indy .800 rocker would clear everything or with very little grinding.I will mock it up today.

GOOD NEWS!with everything togather I measured from the side of the rocker and got .360 to the stand plus the .250 offset in the rocker and that brings the roller past center of the valve by .060.

the angle of the pushrod is only 3* installed, any grinding will be at the top of the port and there is plenty of meat there. If you have any question I can remeasure.

I will get valve locks next week to do a moving valve train check so I have to get the headers out of the car to make new ones.

Just a report and pics on my Comp 87019-16 offset lifters I plan on using for my MW Victor build. I just got 'em and was surprised to find they DO have the "edm" hole to oil the needle bearings (see pics). They are listed as no oil hole but they must be referring to no hole for pushrod oiling? Comes with 4 right, 4 left, 8 centered and link bars. The offset is .210" ... They are cheaper than the 829-16s for some reason. Will be using with Smith Bros pushrods and T&Ds....Didn't mean to hijack but figured it was good info to share for the Victor crowd.

Good info! With a .210 offset lifter the pushrod must be almost streight to the rocker if you use a .600 offset rocker.
