when I got the car in the sig pic the trans mount was destroyed, so I looked into an engine limiter. The engine compartment is tight and I wanted to limit the fore and aft movement as direct as possible and not have a single limiter angled in any way, so I built a bracket that mounts to 4 pan studs with a straight shot to two tabs welded on the K-frame. It was a S&W kit (I believe). It was been on there for 4 years and still works great. I thought the pan studs would be stressed, but they are all still straight and I think spreading the load over 4 studs helped. The motor is out of the car if you want pics of the bracket.

I personally wouldn't use the trans ear to crossmember version as I think it would still put a lot of strain on the aluminum transmission case, it may work for some, but I'd rather go from the motor mount pads to the k member or frame rails. ![](/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/Twocents.gif)

I dont see a problem using them... its on the main case and is applying the load forward through the case.. if it were on the tailshaft I would look elsewhere... I use the engine mount ears also but if you think about it, the limiters could stress the block in that area .... JMO ![](/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wave.gif)

I have the same question and I did it anyway. I'll let you know how it works out. Doug

We are probably going to go off the trans ears on his Glide. If the World block was machined for the Hemi? (Three threaded holes in the block, rather than the ears/lugs), we would have gone off there.
Thanks for the pics and replies
