Welding is not an option for me, this FBO plate looks to be a good alternative?

I guess you just add it below the stock limiting assembly?

Thoughts, pro or con?

I used 3 or 4 so far on different engines. Very easy to work with...

Never used it so I dont know if the FBO plate slot length is dead on accurate for the listed advance #'s or not but you only have 3 selections that I can see (other than zero (locked) and the ideal initial could be anywhere which means the mechanical (slot lemgth) could be anywhere (though the tried & true totals of 35 for a SB and 36-38 for a BB & 31 for a magnum are a VERY GOOD starting points). Since the clip has to come out either way to alter it with or without the plate I'd suggest doing without & welding up the slots then filing them down to get the exact amt of mechanical advance you need. the chart in the archives is reportedly ballpark close (so start slightly conservative) & that'd be a good starting point once you know how many degrees you're after EDIT forgot that welding is not an option for you. I'd think a person could file the FBO slots assuming they ain't too long as is
