Not to high jack this thread but MoparClown....Can you post some pics of your engine compartment and specs on your motor??
It was built on the cheap(all I could afford) as its a stock stroke 360 with a lot of port work done to the heads and they were also shaved but can't remember how much.It has a hyd. comp cams 509 lift cam with roller rockers.I shift it at 6200 and go thru the lights at 6400.

I had the 5204 Hookers on my old 69 Barracuda...go with the TTI's..The Hooker's hang down lower.
Nautilus Racing- We use Superformance gaskets and Turbo Action converters/products.

I ran the 1 7/8 Hookers super comp adjustibles on my stock head smallblock. They are great, BUT>>>>>..... the slip fit collectors do leak and after years, I got tired of the leaks. So I put TTI's on it. I LOVE THEM!!!!!
I don't think they make the 1-7/8 super comps anymore, but I could be wrong...How was the ground clearance with those headers?

I can't comment on the hookers but I have had the 1 7/8 tti's on my street and strip car for a couple of years now and they have absolutely no road rash as they have great ground clearance.I can remove my mini starter without swearing and cutting my hands up. I am sold on the tti's,even at what they cost because you can't put a price on sanity
Thats good to know about the starter! I had always thought that they are in the way of the starter.
Did you have dent any tubes, or shim the engine to clear the steering link with the headers? (those go above the steering link right?)
One thing I am still trying to figure out is if pan removal is possible with the TTi's bolted on, or atleast unbolted but still in the car

Did not have to put any dents in them and I have had power steering in it and now manual steering and I removed the power steering box with the engine in the car but had to unbolt the engine mounts and the driverside header but did not remove them.I did follow the provided instructions and lined the engine up and had to put a thin washer on the driverside mount to get it where it was supposed to be.I know that I can get my pan out without removing the headers but would have to unbolt them from the heads.

I've got the 5204s in my Duster, and had to shim the drivers side motor mount for steering box clearance. Another thing to think about is the quality. The Hookers have very thin flanges and tubing. Mine leak at the head flanges ( going to try Remflex or Percys this season ). Food for thought.
Thats an excellent point as the tti's have great thick flanges and I have had zero leaks top or bottom and I have had mine apart a few times and reused the gaskets to boot. The only thing thats a bummer is the ceramic coating has not held up very good and mine has the thermal barrier coating on the inside, which looked good when I had them off and could see into the tubes
