Idealy, I'd like to run 15x12 wheel and have a 30"tall x 12" footprint, The section width will be the issue i think.

No photos but I had a 12" rim w/stock width housing and w/a 7 1/2" backspacing it fit but was tight and that`s why I went to 10" rims............ Mikey, can you show me that engine bay photo again as I have no clue which post that was on..........

I run a 17 x 11 with 7 inches of backspacing. Each side is like 1.25 narrower than stock. A 12 will fit a minitubbed Dart with perfect backspacing, just depends on your rear end width.
My tire is a 345/40/17, rated 27.7, 13.7 section on a 12" wheel, on my 11 its probably barely narrower, and it only rubs under articulation on the inner tub. Anything over 13.5 is basically at the limit unless you have square tubs.

I notched the rear frame rails about 1" and run 31.25 MT raidal slicks on 12" wheels easy. Going to beadlock a 14" wheel down to 13" and should still leave plenty of room. I think it has been said here already....the right backspace for your set-up is critical to getting it to fit.

Thanks Brian, Was hoping you would chime in. Your car looks to have been backhalfed, The biggest dilema is most of the wheel company's make thier wheels in 2" incriments so if a 15x11 is the easiest way out looks like i'd have to have them made. But i thought about notching the rails like you said, that would give me plenty of room even with section width.

My cars is way better since I ditched the 12`s and went w/the 10`s...........more room and hooks no worse than before and street driving is much more pleasureable especially w/passengers.
