Nicklas - NICE score!!!!! Short story: Back in 1979 I was living in Chicago area & my car was a F/R elastomeric '70 340 Cuda - I was working for the Chrysler parts depot (parts distribution center). My car got rear-ended in a chain-reaction wreck that a drunk guy caused. My car was the 3rd vehicle in the wreck & got smacked in the rear. The next day at work I met with one of the "parts specifiers" in the front offices to try & find another rubber bumper. THERE WERE NONE LEFT ANYWHERE NEW in the system! A year earlier, there had been a few stragglers left & the last dealer cost on them was a little over $300.00 each as I recall. So these suckers have been gone from Chrysler parts system since 1978.
Is Gene Gregory the ONLY one that makes these? I thought his were supposed to be spot-on! I've looked at them several times in the past & they looked perfect to me. I do need a front one for my AAR & pretty resigned to having to buy one of his. I'm going to use the chrome one for the rear.

Have now found an unpainted original NOS rubber bumper for my cuda. Will post a few reference pictures of it here incase anyone find it intresting.
Thanks Nicklas
Interesting that Chrysler shows no part number in their parts books for a primered rubber bumper, only the associated colors. Here's an NOS one the way it left the depot with what remains of masking tape that held the thin plastic bag it shipped in, green paint dabs on all 4 stud ends. It was bought brand new from Dale Tuel, Spring Carlisle 1978.

Well you better get to "ponying up" the coin if you want a Gene Gregory bumper, Gene's health hasn't gotten any better, I hear he's cleaning house on parts in stock, his shop/business last I heard is up for sale...his daughter was assisting him with making the urethane bumpers for E and B bodied cars, whether she continues with the "program" is anybodies guess...Just because it's reproed, doesn't always mean it's going to be available

Yes Gean has been trying to unload operations and move to the sunny south. As stated his bumpers are a real nice reproduction, the front being distinguishable from real if you look close. The rear is almost undetectable.....almost. Both his Challenger and Cuda bumpers come in black primer. Shop number 618-488-7941.

Don't be to quick to dismiss the reproduction rear Elastomeric bumpers from Gene. I like them. They fit well without any adjustments.
If you would like the "as recieved from Gene" pictures, I can up load them. To compare them to the, in the box NOS one that Nicklas has.
Ola
Looks very nice.
